The PowerMyth Index
Build power literacy to fight social inequity.
Why does poverty still exist? Or homelessness? Discrimination?
Sure, these social issues are all entangled in complex webs of policies and institutions. That's plenty of reason enough, but if that's as deep as it went, couldn't some experts just chip away at the problems one by one? Instead, there seems to be a force hell-bent on keeping life for some a bit "more fair" than it is for others... something deeper than just billionaires or evil demons. But what is it, then?
To understand why inequity persists, we need to understand why we accept it as a part of life.
What people can or can't do. What they think is possible or normal. What they don't think about and hold as unquestioned truths. These boundaries all constitute forms of power. If we develop a more holistic view of how power operates, then we're more equipped to respond. That's the goal of the PowerMyth Index.

The PowerMyth Index is a wiki where you can...
- Identify patterns of domination
- Question everything you've ever known
- Explore new ways to generate power
- Learn epic things in a simple format
The goal is basically to have an accessible library centered on power, so whether you read one page or twenty, it equips you with a new lens to see your own experiences through. Idk, I personally think power helps explain almost everything about social relations even though it's terribly misunderstood.
Anyway, please note that this is all a work in progress... so please be nice to me :) Also, given the nature of this project, it should be presumed that information on all pages is subject to change at any time. ENJOY!!
